Two software headlines for the Monday watchlist:
1. **CRM** — KeyBanc cut to Sector Weight from Overweight (checks / upside harder to see) — classic gap-on-downgrade tape
2. **MSFT / IBM** — reports that a large customer (Starbucks chatter) is building in-house AI tools that could displace some purchased software — narrative overhang for vendors even if one customer ≠ a sector thesis
How I scalp it:
- Downgrade gaps: first impulse often overshoots; need RVOL confirmation for continuation
- “In-house AI displaces SaaS” headlines = headline beta, not a clean level until the open prints volume
Anyone long CRM into this, or flat until after the open auction?
Do you trade MSFT on this story at all, or ignore single-customer anecdotes?
