I used to click into the next trade while the last one was still arguing with my nervous system. Checklist below is 60–90 seconds. Ego pretends that's too slow. Ego is wrong.
Checklist (what I actually mark)
Code: Select all
[ ] Am I flat / orders canceled?
[ ] Was this a rule-based loss or a breach?
[ ] If breach → breaker path (size zero / timer)
[ ] If rule-based → tag setup_id + mistake_code (or "none")
[ ] Body check: heart rate / urge to "get it back"
[ ] FOMO 3-breath if urge > 0
[ ] Next trade must be A-setup only
[ ] Still inside daily DD?
[ ] Screenshot marked if you will review later (optional)
No next click until the checklist is marked. Phone note is fine. Ego is not faster than 90 seconds — it only pretends to be.
Two outcomes
Path: Next action
Rule-based loss, calm, DD OK: A-setup only
Breach or tilt: timer / done for session per breaker
If you skip the checklist and win, you still failed the process. Journal that too — winning the wrong way trains the wrong reflex. I've logged "won wrong." Ugly line. Useful line.
Do you force A-setup only after any loss, or only after breaches?
Where do you mark the checklist — paper, phone, sheet?
What's your most common mistake_code after a loss streak?
Anyone timed the checklist and found it under 60s once it became habit?
