Texas Instruments was one of the cleaner prints last night, but this morning's semis selloff is the test.
The numbers (company release)
- Q3 revenue $6.06bn, +11% q/q and +28% y/y. EPS $2.62 (incl. a 1c item not in guidance)
- Growth was broad across industrial, automotive and data centre, per CEO Haviv Ilan
- Q4 guide: revenue $5.80–6.30bn, EPS $2.45–2.79. Seeking Alpha says both the quarter and the guide topped estimates
- TTM operating cash flow $9.9bn and free cash flow $8.4bn. Capex is coming down as 300mm capacity is built out
Tape: TXN closed at $284.65 (+2.5%) and traded around $288 after hours (AH range roughly $281–295). Pre-market today, the broader chip complex is weak (LRCX, AMAT, MRVL all down), so the question is whether TXN acts as a relative-strength long or gets dragged with the group.
For scalpers: I'd watch the AH high around $295 and yesterday's close around $285 as the two reference levels. If NQ stabilises, TXN is a candidate for the analog/industrial "quality" bid. ADI, MCHP, NXPI and ON could trade in sympathy.

Is analog finally in a real upcycle, or is a +28% y/y number flattered by the easy compares? Anyone pairing TXN long against a weak semi?
