Sphere Entertainment is one of the heavier decliners today, down ~12% (around $112 at midday) after Craig-Hallum downgraded it to Hold from Buy, per StreetAccount via CNBC.
The reason is specific: the analyst says demand for "The Wizard of Oz" at the Las Vegas Sphere is softening faster than anticipated, which puts estimates for the second half of 2026 and first half of 2027 at risk. That show has been a big piece of the bull case on venue utilisation, so the market is repricing the near-term revenue run-rate rather than the long-term concept.
Scalper read: single-catalyst downgrades on a thin-ish name tend to gap and then chop. I'd watch whether the bounce attempts fail at VWAP — if they do, the afternoon trend can stay heavy. If it starts reclaiming the morning range, that's usually dip buyers saying the downgrade is priced. Don't size like it's a mega-cap; spreads widen on these.

Does anyone here track SPHR show attendance data, or is this purely a sell-side-driven tape? Short the bounces or leave it alone?
