Follow-up to the RF/MTB note this morning — CFG and TFC have printed, so the Fri BMO regional slate is complete (TRV covered separately on the sell-the-news tape).
Citizens (CFG):
- EPS $1.41 (+34% y/y, +8% q/q) on net income $636M; revenue ~$2.32bn, a hair light vs consensus
- ROTCE 15.1%; positive operating leverage ~5.3% y/y; provision down
- Board hiked the common dividend 13% to $0.52 and lifted buyback capacity by $1.3bn (total authorisation now ~$1.95bn)
- Stock softer after the open (~−2% in early notes) — TBV/share missed some models even as EPS cleared
Truist (TFC):
- EPS $1.16 vs ~$1.12 consensus
- Revenue ~$5.19bn vs ~$5.41bn expected — beat-and-miss mix that often gets sold on opex Fridays
With RF/MTB already in and long-end yields still elevated (~10Y around 5.1%), the common theme across regionals today is AOCI/book-value pressure even when credit prints look tidy. KRE and the individual names have been trading call commentary and the yield tape more than the headline EPS beats.
Into the monthly opex close I'd keep size light: prefer levels set after the first hour over chasing any late regional bounce.

Did CFG's dividend/buyback hike change your bias, or is the revenue/TBV miss the line that matters? And are you still in KRE into the opex close or flat?
Regionals wrap: CFG EPS $1.41 (+34% y/y) + 13% dividend hike; TFC EPS $1.16 beat, revenue miss
