Clarity Act cloture ~2:15 ET: COIN/HOOD soft into the Senate test

Post by LondonNewsTrader »

Live US session — crypto equities pricing a floor-procedure vote, not a final law.

Senate cloture / motion-to-proceed on the CLARITY Act (H.R. 3633) is teed for ~2:15 p.m. ET. COIN was ~−4–5% early, HOOD and Strategy softer with BTC ~−3% overnight. Prediction-market odds for 2026 enactment slid after a Democratic counteroffer — this vote mainly decides whether debate opens, not whether a finished statute lands today.

For scalpers: event window around the roll call. Map COIN vs BTC beta into the print, then reassess after the yes/no — don’t confuse “cloture fails” with “crypto is dead,” or a pass with “regulatory clarity done.”

Trading COIN into the 2:15 window, or waiting for the post-vote RTH reaction?
What size do you use when the catalyst is procedural (cloture) rather than a signed bill?
