GME AMC today: full Q2 after the prelim — what can still move

Post by LondonNewsTrader »

GameStop prints full Q2 after the close today. The Aug 31 prelim already framed the story: sales ~$780–800m (down YoY vs Switch 2 base + store closures/France exit), operating income ~$150170m, net income ~$290–310m — but a big chunk of that net is ~$238m eBay-related gains vs ~$75m digital-asset losses, with cash/securities down to ~$5.05–5.07bn after converting the eBay derivative into ~43.4m shares (~$4.95bn FV at the prelim date).

Day-of scalp framing:
- Prelims already digested once — full 10-Q style detail / guidance language / call tone is what can still reprice AH
- Separate the operating print from the investment P&L before you size a reaction
- Meme beta + thin AH books = wider stops or smaller size; CASY is also AMC if you want a cleaner retail/fuel comp

Sources: GameStop investor prelim (Aug 31) + confirmed Sep 8 AMC calendar (paraphrase).

Are you trading the AH reaction in GME itself, or waiting for Wed RTH confirmation?
What line in the full release would actually change your bias vs the prelim you already priced?
