ORCL Sep 10 earnings: AI/cloud tape vs cash-burn hangover

Oracle reports after the close Thursday Sep 10 — right in the middle of a CPI / Fed-week tape. The story isn’t just “beat/miss”: recent coverage has leaned on heavy AI-infra spend, a large workforce reduction (~21k over the prior year in some wrap-ups), and a deep free-cash-flow hole while cloud growth stays the narrative.

What I care about as a scalper:
- After-hours reaction Friday open gap risk in ORCL and correlated software/AI names
- Does the print create sustained RVOL, or a one-candle AH spike that dies into the open?
- Macro overlay: CPI lands Sep 11 — stacking mega-cap earnings into an inflation print week is how people overtrade

I’m not arguing valuation. I’m marking the calendar: AH Thursday, open Friday, and keep size honest if VIX/yields are jumpy.

Source angle: company earnings calendar + public wraps on the Sep 10 print / cloud + cash-flow debate (paraphrase, don’t paste walls).

Are you trading ORCL itself AH/Friday, or only the basket after the first flush?
Flat into the print, or planning a defined risk reaction?
