iPhone as a scalper’s second screen: alerts, not entries

With Apple’s September event cycle heating up (iPhone 18 Pro line + foldable rumors), the useful question for us isn’t the camera — it’s whether the phone makes you **faster or dumber** at the open.

My rule for iPhone on a stock scalping desk:
- Push alerts (fills, news keywords, calendar) — yes
- Chart toys and one-thumb market orders on a 1‑minute name usually no
- Foldable bigger chart on the subway” is a lifestyle flex; your edge is still prep + risk caps

If Apple Intelligence / on-device features get better at summarizing notifications, that’s interesting for **filtering noise** — not for clicking buy.

Do you allow any mobile order entry during RTH, or phone = alerts only?
What’s one iPhone widget/alert that actually saved you money last month?
