VICR −28% in three sessions with no news, Q3 out Tue 12:00 London: AI-power washout or catch-down?

Putting this on the radar for tomorrow, because it's set up as a big earnings gap either way.

The tape:
- Vicor (VICR) closed Friday at $191.50, −12.9% on the day, after −8.2% Wed and −10.4% Thu. That's −28% in three sessions, about −34% since 30 Sep and roughly 50% off the $382.65 high from 30 June
- Friday volume ~1.9M, about 1.7x the 30-day average
- No 8-K or press release behind the drop, per the WSO write-up of EDGAR. It traded with the neocloud/AI-power complex (CRWV, NBIS, IREN all −11%+ Friday) on data-centre financing worries
- Robinhood's 24-hour market had it ~+2.6% Sunday night, ~$196.5

The catalyst:
- Q3 results at 7:00 ET Tuesday (12:00 London), call at 8:00 ET
- Consensus EPS around $1.27 vs $0.63 a year ago
- Q2 baseline: revenue $143.4M (+27% q/q), EPS $1.04 vs $0.65 expected, gross margin 58%, backlog $380M (+26% q/q, +145% y/y), ~$454M cash, $150M buyback authorised in August. Management said they're "taking steps toward a second fab"

How I'm framing it: the stock has already de-rated hard without any company-specific news. A clean beat with backlog still growing could squeeze a lot of that back. But in this tape, AI-power names have been sold on good numbers too. Backlog and bookings matter more than the EPS print. The release lands 2.5 hours before the US open, so the pre-market gap will be set early and liquidity before 14:30 London will be thin.

Anyone trading VICR into the print, or waiting for the reaction? And for you, does a no-news 28% slide make the beat bar lower or higher?
