OKXICE tokenized stocks: nine issuers opt out — AVGO, VZ, UNH, CRWV, APP, RKLB among names blocked from the venue

Broker and venue story for anyone following the 24/7 stock-token push.
OKXICE, the 50/50 venue from OKX and NYSE parent ICE, posted a notice dated 15 Oct listing nine companies that have formally objected to tokenized versions of their shares trading there:
- Cerebras (CBRS), AppLovin (APP), Applied Digital (APLD), Rocket Lab (RKLB), CoreWeave (CRWV), Verizon (VZ), Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI), Broadcom (AVGO), UnitedHealth (UNH)
How the opt-out works:
- Under the SEC's 17 Sep innovation exemption, a venue trading stock tokenized by an unaffiliated third party has to notify the issuer and wait at least 30 days. A timely objection means that venue can't list the token
- Silence counts as consent, and an objection only binds the venue that sent the notice, not other platforms or synthetic products
- The original list was 63 stocks, so about 14% have said no. NVDA, AAPL, MSFT and others are still planned
- The venue isn't live yet. The plan is 24/7 permissioned trading through Uniswap v4, settled in stablecoins (USDC/USDT)
- AAOI told the WSJ it was unsure how tokenization would affect its price, liquidity and volatility
Why it matters for us: issuers now have a veto, venue by venue, so any "trade it all weekend" product will have holes in the list, and the high-beta names scalpers like most (CRWV, APP, RKLB, AAOI) are well represented among the objectors. Combined with the weekend chip-perp flush, I'd expect more issuers to push back.

Would you trade a tokenized version of a stock whose own company objected to it on another venue? And does your broker offer any weekend equity product yet?
