Getting the weekend prep in early. This week leaves a bruised tape heading into the first mega-cap prints. The Nasdaq is on track for a weekly loss of more than 4% (WSJ, early afternoon ET), semis just ran their longest losing streak in over a decade, and CRWV/NBIS are still the pressure point for AI-debt worries. Meanwhile the S&P is only about 1% off its high on very narrow leadership, and WTI is back above $100.
The calendar (confirmed dates per Earnings Whispers / whoreportstoday):
- Mon 19 Oct: CLF and FITB BMO, STLD AMC
- Tue 20 Oct BMO: GE, GM, RTX, NOC, MMM, HAL, ALLY, MSCI (MSCI on the call is interesting after this week's Indonesia move)
- Tue 20 Oct AMC: NFLX, SPCX, ISRG, COF, UAL, CB
- Wed 21 Oct BMO: T, NEE, CME, ABT, TMO, PM
- Wed 21 Oct AMC: TSLA, META, IBM, LRCX, TXN. That's the big night, with META and TSLA together worth almost 4% of the S&P
- Thu 22 Oct: LMT, BX, DOW, AAL, VLO, CMCSA BMO; NEM, WDC, DECK AMC. PG also reports this week
- Fri 23 Oct BMO: AXP, SLB
What I'm watching: LRCX and TXN on Wednesday night are the first real test of whether the chip sell-off is about fundamentals or just positioning. NFLX is the consumer-spend read, and UAL/AAL will get asked about jet fuel with crude at $100. For London hours, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings are the nights to keep size small into 21:00 UK.

Which print matters most for your book next week, LRCX/TXN for semis or META/TSLA for the indexes? And are you trading the AMC reaction live or waiting for the next morning's open?
Week ahead 19–23 Oct: NFLX Tue AMC, TSLA/META/LRCX/TXN Wed AMC after a 4%+ Nasdaq week
