Macro/tech colour into this afternoon's PPI/retail/claims (13:30 London) — small caps broke a level that mattered.

Wednesday after CPI (headline 3.7% / core 2.6%):
- Russell 2000 −1.93% to ~2,729.5
- IWM closed $271.37 — first close below the ~$277 200-day moving average since March (Investing.com / GuruFocus notes)
- Also trading under the 50-day (~$290 area on some charts)
- Broader tape: S&P −1.11%, Nasdaq −1.9%; futures this morning mixed (Dow bid, NQ still heavy)

Why scalpers care: IWM is the rate-sensitive beta sleeve. A first 200-DMA break after a hot inflation print often becomes either (1) a failed-breakdown bounce into the next data, or (2) a magnet for more de-risking if PPI confirms. Morning prep already flagged the 13:30 London trifecta — this is the chart context sitting under that print.

Levels I am watching into the data:
- Yesterday's IWM low / 200-DMA reclaim as the "false break" tell
- A clean accept below $270 on volume as the next downside shelf

Do you fade IWM into PPI for a snapback to the 200-day, or wait for the print before touching small-cap beta?
