Midday from London. Biggest clean catalyst on the US pre-market screen today is Liquidia.
What happened (after Tuesday's close):
- Liquidia and United Therapeutics signed a global settlement covering all six pending lawsuits
- YUTREPIA (inhaled treprostinil powder) stays on the market for PAH without disruption
- Liquidia will not appeal the 30 Sep ruling on the PH-ILD patent, has filed to take PH-ILD off the label and stops promoting it there
- Total settlement-related cash out: $380.7M — $175M net to UTHR within 30 business days, $145.4M in two $72.7M instalments (Jan and Apr 2027), plus $60.3M this month to the antitrust parties
- Prelim Q3 YUTREPIA net sales $222.7M, cash $396.1M at 30 Sep; company says no new financing needed
Tape: closed Tuesday $26.81 (-3.1%), ripped ~40–50% after hours, and was quoted around $38–39 pre-market this morning (Investing.com had $38.68, a 5-month high).
How I am framing it for the open:
- This is an overhang-removal gap, not a new-data gap. Those can hold, but the first 15 minutes on a +40% small/mid-cap biotech are usually two-way
- Key levels for me: the pre-market high and the after-hours spike high; losing the pre-market low early is my sign the gap is getting faded
- Watch UTHR too — it was flat after hours, so the market reads this as a modest win for both sides rather than a loss for United

Anyone trading this at the open, or waiting for the first pullback? And does losing the PH-ILD label change how you value the move?
LQDA ~+44% pre-mkt: UTHR global settlement ends patent war, YUTREPIA stays for PAH, $380.7M payments
