CRM ~+4%: BofA double-upgrades to Buy from Underperform, PT $285 from $160 — AI "deepens dependence" on Salesforce

Monday broker tape: Bank of America flipped Salesforce (CRM) from Underperform to Buy and jacked the PT to $285 from $160. Premarket prints were roughly +4% on the note.

What BofA is saying:
- Prior bear case was AI disintermediation of the CRM stack. After CIO / market checks, the desk now argues AI deepens dependence on platforms that already house business logic, data, workflows and compliance — not replace them.
- Thesis leans on FCF (~$15B+ levered LTM, ~8% FCF yield in the write-ups) plus expected growth reacceleration. PT math cited ~16× CY2027 EV/FCF vs ~9× previously.
- Backdrop: CRM was already getting friendlier Street coverage into the week (Ives initiation / Dreamforce survey reaffirmations in recent notes).

Why scalpers care:
- Classic double-upgrade gap. Largest move is usually day-one; follow-through needs software-basket volume, not just the headline.
- Watch whether peers (enterprise SaaS / CRM-adjacent) tag along or this stays a single-name pop into bank-earnings week.

How I'd treat it:
- First cash print vs premarket high. Hold above the overnight range on real volume ≠ a fade-the-gap open under Friday's close.
- Don't oversize a broker note like a fundamental beat. Notes fade when the tape is already long software.

Fading the double-upgrade gap into the open, or riding software strength into bank earnings Tue? Anyone pairing CRM with other SaaS names today?
