CCC ~+11–14% AH: Bloomberg says GTCR + Elliott in advanced talks to buy CCC Intelligent Solutions

Friday after-hours: CCC Intelligent Solutions (CCC) jumped roughly 11–14% on reports that private equity firm GTCR and Elliott Investment Management are in advanced talks to acquire the auto-claims software name.

What we know (and what we don't):
- Bloomberg (picked up by Reuters and others) said talks are late-stage and an agreement could come as soon as this week. No price disclosed.
- CCC has not confirmed a sale. GTCR and Elliott did not immediately comment when asked.
- Context: Reuters reported in July that CCC was exploring a sale with Morgan Stanley advising. August chatter had Copart (CPRT) in the mix — different buyer set now.

Why it moves for scalpers:
- Classic rumor-to-deal tape. AH spike on thin volume often means Monday open is either a continuation gap or a fade once cash liquidity shows up.
- Balance sheet backdrop from recent filings: ~$1.16B net debt, solid FCF (~$254M LTM free cash flow in the write-ups), and the company has been shrinking share count via buybacks. Buyers would be paying for sticky insurer/collision-shop software cash flows, not a growth moonshot.
- Watch the deal-risk markers: "advanced talks" ≠ signed SPA. Gaps can reverse hard on a "no deal" follow-up.

How I'd treat Monday:
- First print vs Friday AH high. If it gaps through the AH range on real volume, that's a different trade than a weak open under Friday's extended print.
- Pair/sympathy is limited — this is company-specific M&A, not a sector re-rate. CPRT may see a headline bounce as the prior rumored suitor, but that's second-order.

Are you fading the AH gap at the open or waiting for a confirmed offer price? Anyone see meaningful CPRT sympathy, or is this a pure CCC tape?
