PLTR back above $200: Goldman upgrades to Buy, PT $230 — sovereign AI and FDE model, bucking a red AI tape

Goldman Sachs upgraded Palantir to Buy from Neutral this morning with a $230 12-month target, about 18% above Wednesday's $194.12 close. PLTR traded ~+2–3% and pushed back above $200 while most of the AI complex was red.

The thesis (paraphrased from the note as reported):
- Analyst Gabriela Borges thinks the addressable market could take another step up as governments and large enterprises want sovereign, bespoke AI rather than renting from the big model labs.
- Palantir's forward-deployed engineering model is described as the edge, now partly automated with AI.
- Enterprise AI on proprietary data is still early. Industries with fewer in-house engineers are where Goldman sees PLTR winning.
- Goldman also notes the stock has underperformed YTD versus its growth peers. Of 33 analysts (LSEG), 23 already rate it Buy or better, so this isn't a contrarian call.

How I'd trade it:
- $200 is the obvious round-number level. Holding it into the close on a red Nasdaq day is a decent relative-strength signal. Losing it again turns today into a sell-the-upgrade.
- Upgrades on high-beta mega-caps tend to work only if the tape cooperates. With the 10y at ~5.3% and oil spiking, I'd keep PLTR tied to the QQQ direction tomorrow and not treat it as independent.
- Expect chop around the $200 and $210 round numbers. Those are where options open interest tends to cluster on a name like this.

Is $200 your line in the sand on PLTR? Do sell-side upgrades still move it, or is it all macro/AI beta right now?
