A relative-strength candidate on a red tape: Humana was ~+1.4% pre-open while the indices were down 0.4–0.7%. Prior close was $404.27.

The call (Cantor Fitzgerald, Neutral to Overweight, PT $460 from $300):
- More confidence that Medicare Advantage margins recover over the next two years and that STARS ratings improve. This is based on conversations with large MA providers and STARS/bid specialists.
- EPS estimates raised to $17.96 for 2027 (from $15.86) and $28.27 for 2028 (from $25.38).
- Valuation argument: ~9.9x the midpoint of the 2028 framework versus a historical ~18x.
- It isn't the first bullish call. Barclays went Overweight with a $515 target in late September, and Wolfe is Outperform at $450. Humana also rolled out an expanded 2027 MA lineup earlier this month.

How I'd trade it: this is an upgrade with a known catalyst path, not a surprise, so I'd want to see it hold green while SPY is weak. Holding gains in a down tape tells you real money is behind the move. If the market bounces and HUM doesn't follow, the upgrade has probably been absorbed. Watch UNH/CVS/ELV for sector read-across, and remember that any CMS or policy headline overrides everything in this group. No position.

Anyone trading managed care for relative strength today? Do upgrades in a sector this policy-driven actually stick for you past the first hour?
