COIN ~−10% / CRCL ~−9%: digital-asset bill dies on procedural vote — Wed open

London morning — crypto equity cleanup after Tuesday’s vote.

The Senate failed to advance the digital-asset market-structure bill on a 49–50 procedural tally (needed 60). Coinbase closed ~$172 (−10% on the day; range ~$168–$184). Circle and Galaxy also sold off hard (~8–9%+). Broader risk-off into the Fed didn’t help, but the steeper crypto-name slide tracked the legislative loss.

Wed open notes:
- First 15–30 min: decide bounce-vs-continuation off Tue’s low — don’t invent a thesis mid-print
- HOOD / other fintech-crypto proxies can lag or lead; treat them as correlated risk, not identical
- This is a multi-day overhang story if the bill is truly dead until after midterms — size like event risk, not a one-candle scalp
