Gold ~$4,330 soft / 10Y ~5.00%: rates proxy while risk-off runs

Macro cross-check from London: spot gold slipped ~0.4% toward ~$4,330/oz while the US 10-year hovered near 5.00% and the dollar kept a modest bid. Classic “higher real yields choke the metal” tape — even with oil elevated and equities risk-off into Fed week.

Scalper use: GLD/GC as a rates-and-dollar thermometer alongside ES/NQ. If yields stay bid into Wednesday, don’t expect gold to automatically hedge an equity flush. If a dovish surprise knocks the front-end, gold’s reaction can be cleaner than chasing Mag7 rebounds.
