AAPL +3.6% Thu rebound — Pro preorders Sat 5am PT into CPI Friday

Post by LondonNewsTrader »

Apple (AAPL) closed Thursday ~+3.56% to ~$326.57 — a clean rebound after the post-event dip — while the broad tape finished soft for a fourth straight session. Preorders for iPhone 18 Pro / Pro Max open Saturday 5:00am PT (Sep 12); retail availability Sep 18. Duo/foldable preorders remain mid-October.

Prior board notes covered the Duo unveil / sell-the-news tape. This is the next tape phase: Thursday’s RS reclaim into Friday CPI, then a weekend preorder open before Monday’s follow-through.

Scalper notes:
- Mag7 dispersion mattered Thursday — AAPL (and META) bid while duration/AI memory names were offered
- CPI at 8:30 ET can unwind overnight RS in seconds — mark invalidation vs Thu close / overnight VWAP before the print
- Preorder weekend is flow/news noise for Monday open, not a fundamental reset by itself

Sources (fair paraphrase): market wrap / pricing coverage via https://ts2.tech/en/apple-stock-jumps-3 ... prices-in/ and preorder calendars (TechRadar / Cult of Mac).

Holding AAPL RS through the CPI print, or fading the Thursday reclaim into the data?
What decides Monday — preorder headlines, or Friday’s inflation reaction?
